Chemical grade molybdenum oxide is an off-white/yellow powder not to be confused with the technical grade used in steelmaking. It can be used in the following applications: catalysts, glazes, frits and pigments; production of other molybdenum compounds (molybdates); smoke suppressants in PVC. ABSCO currently supplies two grades of molybdenum oxide: Grade 1, min 99.9% pure containing > 66.6% Mo; Grade 2: min 97% pure containing > 65% Mo.
